When I found out I was having another girl, I was so ecstatic. There was probably only one other person more excited than me, and that was Hannah. From the moment that she found out we were having another baby, she had hopes that it would be a girl. To see the look on her face at the ultrasound when we found out it was a girl, was priceless. Everyday when she gets in the van after school, she tells Ashlyn how glad she is to have a baby sister. It is so sweet. Last night the interaction between these two really touched my heart. I wish I would have caught it on video. Ashlyn loves it when the kids talk to her and has started laughing at them when they make their cute little baby talk sounds at her. Hannah is such a good helper and loves to carry Ashlyn around. She is learning what it is like to help take care of her and will make a wonderful babysitter some day. I hope and pray that despite the 10 year age difference that these two will always have a strong bond. I feel so blessed that I have sons and daughters.

3 months
I wanted to write down some of the things that Ashlyn is doing at 3 months. Click on her picture to see her beautiful blue eyes and cute little bubbles on her mouth.
*Is our always smiling girl. She is easy to get to smile (unless you want a picture of her smiling) and is always pretty happy.
*Just this past week she has started grabbing at her toys. One of my friends gave her this toy and she loves it. She will grab onto it and try to get it to her mouth.
*Still loves her baths..though she is quickly outgowing her bathtub. Ever since she was born she has loved her bath but hated getting dressed. She is happy up until we start putting her onesie on and then she just cries until she is all done. There have been a few rare times where she hasn't cried at all. This past week, we turned her around in her bathtub and she was able to see the water. She was fascintated by it.
*Blows raspberries and is always drooling. She also is constantly chewing on her fingers.
*Rolled over just last week.
*Likes to lay under her activity gym piano. She has been grabbing at the toys on that as well. I wonder if she has figured out that when she touches the toy, the music will play?
*Likes to laugh at her sister and brothers. Oh yes, she can laugh! She gave me some good giggles yesterday.
*Still doesn't love her carseat. She doesn't cry as much as she did. Hopefully with time, she will be happier in the car. I feel so bad when she isn't happy in there.
*Is pulling her head up while on your lap or in the swing. She has such a strong neck.
*Takes almost all her naps in the swing. If we are holding her she will nap, especially in her daddy's arms. She rarely naps at church..needs to see what is going on.
*She is wearing 3-6 month clothes and is in size 2 diapers. I can tell she is getting taller b/c the 3-6 month jammies I pulled out last night were too short.
*Is easily distracted while nursing. She wants to smile and coo at me instead. She has been doing that for the last 6 weeks. Silly girl.
*Is starting to study her hands.
I will probably add more to this later. She is changing so fast and I don't want to forget a thing.

Baby legs = Leg warmers
I can't remember when I first heard of baby legs. It was either right before I had Ashlyn or right after. I thought they were cute but didn't care much for the $12 price tag. I found an online tutorial and knew that I wanted to try and make my own. I finally found some cute socks and got it done yesterday. It wasn't too hard but several layer of sock material does get thick. My sewing machine doesn't always like to move on thick things.
I put them on Ash last night along with my favorite shirt for her (thanks aunt Kristi). Doesn't she look so cute in them. I thought they turned out really good! I will probably try and go to the dollar store to see if I can find some cheaper socks to make more.

Obsessed?
I tend to be get focused on one thing and only one thing. My latest obsession is bowbands for Ashlyn. One of my friends made her some when she was born and I love them! I started a few weeks ago looking online for some and bought some and only really like the pink one she is wearing in this picture. I looked on ebay last week and bought some really cute ones. I love these double ruffle headbands. I also bought some of the ribbon so I could try and learn how to make my own. Hopefully I will get it figure out soon so I can save myself some money! By the way, don't you love the drool on Ashlyn's face.?You will rarely see her without it anymore. She is always drooling. I don't remember my other kids drooling this much at such a young age. She is always soaking through her clothes. I know I could put bibs on her, but they are so bulky and cumbersome. I would rather change her clothes. :)

Wasssuuuupppp!
I'm not really sure what I am thinking starting a blog. I mean really, I don't even have time to keep my house clean, let alone keep a blog. This will most likely be a photo blog since I do have the cutest little girl to take pictures of. I figure if anything this will help me record what she does. She has already changed so much in the last almost 11 weeks. (can you believe it?) In the first picture she is 2 weeks old and 10 weeks in the second. Isn't she a little sweetie!
